about the scale of the input

Hello,
I've read the paper about metis and downloaded the software. But my input is extremely large, more than 4G. I've run it on the server with 4-core and 16G memory, but failed. I wonder if metis could fix it out... Wait for your reply.

RE: scale limit of the input file

I've got the same problem when using hmetis.
My input file is more than 6GB. The server has 8 cores and 16 G memory.
And also I tried a much smaller input file which is 1.2GB, it seems the input file is acceptted. But After a few minutes I got the following output: memory allocation failed with coarsen: vpairs. requested size: 320000000 bytes.
