YASSPP: A Protein Secondary Structure Prediction Server
Current version: 1.0, 7/28/2005
YASSPP is a web-based server for predicting the secondary structure elements of a protein sequence. The underlying prediction algorithm used by YASSPP is a SVM-based machine learning approach that utilizes improved kernel functions and input coding schemes.
Users can upload their protein sequence, select a number of options controlling key aspects of the prediction algorithm, and submit their sequence for prediction. The actual prediction is sent back to the user via an email message.
The YASSPP web-server has become part of the MONSTER server, which also provides additional capabilities.
