Gpmetis Crashing on Windows 8

Hello,

I followed the instructions to configure Metis on my Windows 8 PC and have no issues running the graphchk program but the gpmetis crashes whenever it goes into the direct k-partitioning portion of the program it crashes and Windows states, "gpmetis.exe has stopped working". The same issue happens when I switch to the bisection method. I downloaded the files twice, used the Cmake gui along with the Visual Studio 11 to generate the programs, are there known issues with the program and windows 8? Are there any workarounds, perhaps? Thanks for any answers that anyone might have.
